Michael ...Jun 19, 2022 · Joe Glenn Lawing, 75, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. He was the son of Howard and Bessie Frye Lawing, born on October 23, 1946. Following his military service, he returned home to Glenwood to help his father run their poultry farm. Later, he started the hatchery business. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Fox Jimison; two sons, Jeff Jimison (Betty) and Gary Jimison; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Alan Sailors officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Pass Memorial Park..
